A dad who was out clothes shopping with his daughter was surprised to see one outlet selling a particularly rude item of clothing.

The sign in the window was supposed to be selling sweatshirts for £9.99 - but thanks to an unfortunate spelling mistake it was missing the vital letter 'R'.

Dad Steven Eccles shared the amusing photo of the sign on Facebook after he noticed the wrongly spelled sign when he was shopping in Cabot Circus shopping centre with his 13-year-old daughter Molly on Saturday, the Bristol Post reports.

The sign reads: "Sweats*** £9.99".

He joked: "Interesting new products on sale in Pull & Bear, Bristol.

"Get there while stocks last."

Steven, who lives in Hanham, added: "We just found it amusing really.

"We thought that of all the letters to miss out, the 'r' was really the worst of them for obvious reasons."

When approached by the newspaper, a member of staff at the store said they were going to "fix" the sign.
