Of the 120 people tested in Bledington, Glocs, 61% were found to be genetically linked.
The analysis, by AncestryDNA, also showed the average resident of the Cotswolds village is just 42% ethnically Anglo Saxon.
Many of the white locals have DNA from Africa and Asia.

Sylvia Reeves and Steve Yack learned they were distant cousins.
Historian Sylvia, 93, who was born in London, said: "I've been in Bledington for 56 years and I've known Steve's family ever since I have been here. To find out we are related is amazing."
