Free school uniform

This week we're dedicated to bringing you useful freebies. We're ditching the giveaways that will end up lurking in a dark corner of the wardrobe or the back of the bathroom cabinet, and bringing out the ones that all come in very handy indeed - from free practical kitchenware to giveaways of vital school uniform.

Free stamps
The users of HotUKDeals.com have tracked down a way of getting £11.72 worth of free stamps every month. It means taking part in tests to see how quick Royal Mail is, by posting around 6 letters a week and receiving roughly the same number - and logging how long they take.

You get a batch of 12 first class stamps and four large letter stamps for your first posting, and the same again - plus a presentation set of stamps for your second. Each month you do it, you'll get the stamps - and you can usually do it for six months. The users point out that occasionally you'll be asked to send a parcel too - which means a trip to the Post Office and spending your own money - but you get back far more in the value of the stamps.

Free oven glove
The users of Latestdeals.co.uk have spotted a deal at Iceland. You just buy a Pizza Express pizza, ready meal or ice cream online from Iceland, and you'll get a free Pizza Express oven glove with your delivery. The items cost around £2.50 each, so it's a nice little freebie - and a great excuse to eat pizza and ice cream.

Free cold drink
When you're out and about and you haven't packed a drink, it's always nice to be able to pick up a freebie, so Greggs have included one on its reward app. All you have to do is download the app, and the freebie will be delivered to it - although it can take a while. There are loads on offer from orange juice to strawberry water, raspberry lemonade and ginger beer.

Free school uniform
TopCashback, the cashback website, is offering all new members the chance to pick up Aldi's bargain Back to School uniform package for free. It's on sale until 6 August - but you'll need to be quick to grab it while stocks last. Simply buy the school uniform bundle for £5, snap a picture of the receipt, and upload it to the TopCashback website or app.

Free pool float
OK, so the practical side of this freebie is hard to spot at first, but given that pool inflatables are the must-have fashion item of the summer, then you can consider this a vital part of your summer - for free. The freebie is available through Quidco. You just join for free, go through the app to Toys R Us, and buy the flamingo inflatable for £9.99 plus £2.95 standard delivery. You'll get the usual cashback of 5%, plus a welcome bonus of £13 back in your account. It means you'll actually make money on this freebie.
