Brighton has been named the city with the worst drivers racking up the most prangs last year.
According to a study, the seaside resort accounted for one in 200 car crashes, compared with careful Manchester where one in 3,527 motorists were in a collision.

The figures - based on per head of population - found Nottingham and Birmingham made the top three in the worst driver league.
And while London had the most smashes regionally with one in 343 drivers involved in a prang, the South East was a close second and Yorkshire and Humber came third.
The detailed analysis of 129,986 road incidents last year by towbar firm Witter blows apart the myth that women are worse behind the wheel than men.
Brighton has the worst drivers
For the research found twice as many male drivers were involved in a car accident - 87,407 compared to 38,757 with women at the helm.
And it revealed Vauxhall Corsas were the biggest menace topping the prang league with 5,468 crashes, stablemates Vauxhall Astra drivers came second with 4,201 and white van man in a Ford Transit third with 3,591 accidents.
The table of 57 car models found BMW 520D owners the UK's best drivers with just 510 incidents, followed by Kia Picanto owners with 512 and Mercedes Vito motorists who had 514 crashes.
Younger drivers were the cause of most of Britain's car accidents with 26-35-year-olds racking up the highest number of incidents while the 56-65 age group was found to be the safest on the roads.
Newcastle Upon Tyne also scored badly
The report said: "Men aged 26-35 and living in London or Brighton are Britain's worst drivers.
"The car model with the most car crashes is the Vauxhall Corsa. This car would often be associated with a younger demographic as the 'perfect first car'. This would correlate with the data regarding car incidents by age.
"Similarly, another car that correlates with the data regarding car incidents by gender is the Ford Transit Van. This vehicle is traditionally used by builders, which are traditionally male. Builders often have to transport a lot of goods and are often under significant time pressures."
