Jeweller makes £1m gold Darth Vader statue

It might be a bit too heavy to actually wear though...

The original Star Wars movie turns the big 40 this year, and, in honor of the special occasion, a jeweller in Japan has commissioned a gold Darth Vader mask.

According to the company, the mask is life-size, but weighing in at 33 pounds it's probably too heavy to wear.

If that's not enough to deter a buyer from throwing it on and venturing into the outside world then the price tag will probably do the trick.

The one-of-a-kind piece costs a staggering $1.4 million (£1.08 million).

It officially became available yesterday, on 4 May, which has recently become known as Star Wars Day thanks to it's similarity to the iconic phrase: "May the force be with you".
