One of the most infuriating parts of a night out? Queuing, almost endlessly, for a pint.
All you want is a sweet sweet Kronenbourg. But the banter lass in front of you has just ordered ten Jägerbombs, and a huge bloke just barged past you to grab his jug of Cheeky Vimto and pint of Stella. Mate, why?

Will you ever taste alcohol again?
But the company has just unleashed its plan to counteract shuffling about at the bar, anxiously trying to catch the bartender's eye.
The pub chain has finally released across the country its 'Order & Pay' app. It works simply: you tell the app where you're sitting, what food and/or drink you're after, and the bar staff pick up the request and bring it to your table.
Wetherspoons has been shaking up the British pub trade for some time. You might dislike its no music, high-calorie, Brexit-supporting, independent-pub-killing ways. But you can't argue with its innovation.
The company has been testing the app in a few of its pubs. Now the management is happy with Order & Pay, the technology has been rolled out across 900 pubs in the UK and Ireland.
The whole menu is available through the app
"Want to enjoy a meal with youngsters, but cannot leave them unattended, while you go to the bar to order – use the app," Spoons writes on its website.
"Visiting the pub on your own and do not want to lose your table – use the app.
"Not so mobile, or sitting a long way from the bar, and unable to easily negotiate a busy pub – use the app. Don't want to carry a large round of drinks back through a packed pub or to have to make more than one trip to the bar? No problem – use the app."
Wetherspoons is urging customers to give Order & Pay a go. And as a premise, it sounds pretty good – anything that means you have to avoid queuing at the bar with prove popular. But it means a big change for staff, and whether, on a busy Friday night, they'll be able to cater for everyone's constant app orders remains to be seen.
"Since its introduction, the Wetherspoon Order & Pay app has proven a big hit with customers and is now available in all of our pubs across the UK," says the company.
"No more queuing at the bar – just use the Order & Pay app, sit back and relax, and the order is delivered directly to you at your table."
Pub apps have been around for a while. Technology such as robot barmaids and self-serve beer taps have been trialled, too.
And there are, of course, reservations concerning the fact that increased technology in pubs might kill off the traditional trade. Pubs are about more than just drinking, but social interaction and, dare we say it, banter.
Spoons has its place. Even more so now you don't need to stand about for five minutes waiting for a double rum and cola. But if you're after a more authentic experience, you could always go to your local...there are still some about.
