His on-screen character, Ricky Butcher, is known for residing in a rather grim terraced house among Albert Sqaure.
But, when he's not entertaining soap fans on EastEnders, it turns out that Sid Owen is living it up in a stunning mansion - which has left people rather open-mouthed.

The impressive abode was shown as part of Through The Keyhole, which saw Keith Lemon explore the 44-year-old actor's converted farmhouse in the south of France.
The property boasts nine bedrooms and an outside swimming pool, plus some serious interior design work - not to mention plenty of cool features, including a pinball machine and a wet bar.
Naturally, viewers were left dazzled by the sight and could hardly believe their eyes.
Taking to social media, one fan wrote: "Ah, I love Sid Owen and what a beautiful house!" while another added: "How the f*** has Sid Owen got that gaff #rickyyyyyy!".
Another, who seemed rather shocked, added: "Still not over Sid Owen's gaff on Through The Keyhole, lads."
Even Strictly's Judge Rinder, who was a contestant on the show, admitted said Sid had a "lovely house and a lot of taste."
Fortunately, it wasn't just his house which received praise. One viewer said: "What a good sport Sid is. Never really rated him before ('cos I'd never really thought about him) but wow. Lovely guy."
Sid is, of course famous for playing the long-suffering, docile Ricky Butcher in EastEnders between 1988 and 2012, although he briefly dabbled in the music industry by releasing Good Thing Going in 2000.
Having taken part in I'm A Celebrity in 2005 and coming in third place, he was a contestant on 2012's Strictly Come Dancing, and was voted off in week five.
Most recently, he took part in celebrity Masterchef.
