Man attempts to steal from till, leaves with peanuts

This man was caught on CCTV attempting to steal from the till of a pub.

But, unfortunately for him, his efforts were wasted and he ending up leaving with just a bag of peanuts.

After finding the till was empty, he refocused his search and ended up snaffling a bag of nuts instead... not quite as lucrative!

The attempted theft took place at a tennis in Harlesden, north London, and police are keen to track down the criminal.

PC Jack Kilby from Brent CID told the Evening Standard: "We are keen to identify the man in the CCTV footage so we can speak to him about the incident.

"We would also urge anyone who has information that could assist the investigation to contact us."
