But when the couple visited the jewellery store Pandora in Tennessee, one rude employee shamed the groom after he bought a $130 ring.

Ariel posted on a photo of the rings on social media, describing the experience and how her fiance was left humiliated.

Ariel said a lady in the store remarked: "Y'all can you believe that some men get these as engagement rings? How pathetic."

"When she said that I watched my now husband's face fall."

The couple instead of getting upset, bought the rings and left.

Local news reports Ariel said that after the jewelry store learned about the rude remarks of the employee, the company apologized to the couple over the insults they got over their budget for an engagement ring.

The store asked Ariel to pass on the name of the employee but she declined saying the post's intention was never to get someone fired.

Ariel's inspiring post has hit a chord with many people, quickly going viral on Facebook.

Now other people are posting pictures of their own rings, with similar sentiments.
