Brazen till thief caught on CCTV

Detectives investigating a commercial burglary are searching for this man who was caught on CCTV.

He walked into a cafe on Frying Pan Alley in east London on 9 September before simply removing the cash till and walking off.

The brazen thief later returned and, when challenged, said he was from head office.

There have been no arrests and police are appealing for information.

A report on the Metropolitan Police's website states: "The suspect [image ref 225094] is described as a slim black man, 5ft 8ins tall with short black hair, a black beard and wearing a black and white camouflage vest and dark trousers.

"He was described as having a glazed expression by those who saw him."
