Cher's former Florida home sells for over $23 million

The Miami Herald reports the second-highest residential sale in Miami-Dade County this year is a property once owned by Cher.

The home was originally put on the market for $28 million three months ago and recently sold for $23.46 million.

Records show Cher owned the property from 1995 to 1997, but it's unclear whether the star actually lived there. She also owned homes in Miami Beach and Key Biscayne.

According to the Miami Herald the 12,303 square foot property boasts seven bedrooms, a swimming pool and a garden not toe mention the prime location looking out on to the Biscayne Bay.

Judy Zeder of EQM Realty International said: "It's a custom-built home with the most magnificent sea views of downtown Miami."

She added: "Definitely there's fewer buyers in the market, but you will always find a buyer for a magnificent home."

The current seller is understood to have bought the house in 1997 for $2.32 million, The Star reports.
