We all mean to do the right thing - like sorting our finances out or getting those jobs done around the house. The trouble is, that it's not always easy to get started. This Bank Holiday is your big opportunity. You have one whole day free, to kick-start those projects you have been meaning to get around to.

And to make the process even more rewarding, we have the freebies you need to get on the right track.

Free breakfast
You're not going to have the energy for a day of productivity unless you start it right, so how about a free cooked breakfast? Freebie Supermarket has spotted that new members of Topcashback.co.uk can buy breakfast from a pub, and get the cost (up to the value of £5) refunded into their cashback account - as long as you follow the rules.

Free cereal bowl
If you'd rather have a speedy breakfast and get stuck into your new projects a bit sooner, then you can enjoy your cereal out of a free bowl. The users of HotUKdeals.com have discovered that Morrisons is giving away a free Kellogg's bowl with promotional packs of Frosties, Rice Krispies, Coco Pops, Bran Flakes, Fruit & Fibre, All Bran, Special K and Crunchy Nut Cornflakes. You can order a maximum of two packs in each order.

Free Money tips eBook
If you're planning to get a few jobs done around your home during the Bank Holidays, then make one of those jobs to save a small fortune. Money expert and TV presenter, Jasmine Birtles has a wealth of money-saving advice in her eBook, 101 Tips to Save Money in Your Home. The first tip should be to download the book for free (you'll need to get it done by 10 May). Then you can have an impressively profitable Bank Holiday season.

Free yoghurt
Whether your goal is healthy eating, or taking a packed lunch to work to save cash, then you could start by ordering some free Much Bunch Squashams Huge Tubes - designed for adults. Sainsbury's is offering them free when you order online and enter the code FREEMUNCH at the checkout.

Free Argos voucher
If your project requires tools, then there's a sale on at Amazon at the moment with plenty of household bargains. As an extra bonus, according to HotUKdeals.com, depending on how much you spend, you can get a free voucher too. If you spend £50, you'll get a £5 voucher, and if you spend £100 you'll get a £10 voucher. So maybe you can save it to splash out to celebrate getting the job done.

Free theme park tickets
If you want to reward yourself for all your hard work, then you can pick up two free Thorpe Park tickets. If you buy The Sun, and cut out 10 unique codes over ten days (until Tuesday 10 May) you can get two free tickets to Thorpe Park. Clearly it will set you back a bit: if you get the newspaper over both weekends - plus pay a £1.50 booking fee - it'll cost you £7.90. However, even if you just buy the paper and throw it away, it's cheaper than the £51.50 price on the gate - and better value than the two-for-one that tend to crop up.
