With the sun finally shining (occasionally). It's time to throw off at least a couple of your winter layers and get out and about. Of course, there's only so much romping through the countryside you can do before your family starts demanding a bit of variety, and going out becomes an expensive business. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be this way, because we have some freebies that will help you do more for nothing.

Free kids' entertainment
Don't get bored on Easter Saturday (26th March), and don't end up paying a fortune for a cinema trip, because you can divert to your nearest Smyths Toys store for a free party. Check your local store for the best time to go, but during the day there will be an Easter egg hunt, candy floss, a live DJ and face painting. Plus every child who goes will get a free Skylanders SWAP Force Figure, a Tub of Play-Doh, 2 Packets of Match Attax, and a WWE Kids Magazine. There's also the chance to win £50 every hour.

Free kids' meal
Eating out with the kids can be an expensive business, so it's worth knowing that on Easter Sunday (27th March) Chiquitos is offering a free kids' meal from the kids' menu with every full-paying adult. You don't need a voucher, just pop in.

Free Innocent Bubbles
For refreshment on the go, you can get yourself a can of Innocent Bubbles for free. This would normally set you back £1.69, so it's a decent freebie. It's another deal from O2 Priority, so if you're not on O2 it's another reason to consider getting a free pay-as-you-go sim, so you can download the app onto an unlocked phone, and check it for new deals like this.

You can get the freebie from any branch of Boots that stocks it, you just need to show them the code from the app. However, it's worth doing this sooner rather than later, as these deals tend to run out.

Free charger
If you don't want to leave your technology behind, and you're worried about battery life, then the users of HotUKDeals.com have spotted that you can get a free Screwfix Portable Powerbank. There should be a voucher with the latest catalogue, which you can take in store and swap for your freebie.

Free DVD
Of course, you can't stay out all the time, and if you're a Sky customer, then you can get a free DVD to come home to. You should be able to order a free Kung Fu Panda DVD from the Sky Store. You can go in through the Sky system or go online, search for Kung Fu Panda, then order it for free,

Free ebook
If you're stuck indoors, then you can make that a far more pleasant place to be too - by clearing the clutter. To celebrate National Clear Your Clutter Day on Saturday 19th March, you can download a free eBookfrom Money Magpie, which will help you clear your clutter - and even make some cash from it. There are tips on selling, swapping, upcycling and recycling, which will help you raise a bit of cash to splash the next time the sun comes out.
