A Black Friday sale was particularly successful for one store in Indiana, USA, by the end of the day their shelves were completely cleared.

After seeing the horror show that happened at some shopping centres in America, this is a Black Friday success story that will warm your heart.

Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control dropped its adoption fee on the busiest shopping day of the year from $100 to just $10, a discount of 90%!

Just like regular shops, the animal shelter saw a queue of customers waiting outside the door before the shop even opened in the hope of picking up their new, furry family members. %VIRTUAL-ArticleSidebar-black-friday%

Lucky, Miles, Marley and Norton were just a few of the dogs to be snapped up by keen Indiana locals.

So many people opened their hearts and their homes that every cat and dog at the kennel now has a 'forever family'.

The photos of the empty animal shelter are going viral, showing just how successful the event was with all 30 animals being taken home by happy customers.

Jodi Hamilton, Community Relations and Humane Education Specialist of Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control, told Wane.com: "It's actually very exciting. I know that people waiting to visit our dogs this morning were very disappointed, but it was such an exciting thing for us because it's so rare that we have adopted all of the dogs that we had available for adoption.

Adding: "They've all gone home. It's so beautiful and wonderful for all of us to see that happen."

But the team also know that this is only a temporary situation and it's likely that the kennels will be full again soon with dogs and cats eager to find a new home.
