Florida lottery winner misses out on $15 million

One unfortunate Florida resident will be kicking themselves after missing out on a £15 million jackpotlottery win.

The winning ticket remained unclaimed until the expiration date last week.

The ticket was sold by the Beer and Liquor Store in Lake Worth, USA and the draw was held on April 22 of this year.

So, not only has the lucky winner had five months to collect their winnings but there's been plenty of coverage on the news in the US as well.

Local resident, Mike McCoy said: That's great! I come quite often. I want to be the next lucky winner,"

The store owner seemed to think it's likely the winning ticket has been lost of misplaced and that's why no one has come forward.

She also admitted that the store has sold a number of winning tickets in the past, so maybe their lucky streak has come to an end!

The winner bought their ticket in April and managed to scoop the UK Millionaire Maker jackpot.
