If you're looking to save money on your next holiday, an air milecredit card can help.

Right now there are great bonus offers available on Avios and Flying Club Miles, but time's running out to bag them.

The British AirwaysAmerican Express bonus Avios offers will be withdrawn from 17th June, while the Virgin Atlantic Credit Cards will have their bonus Flying Club Miles offers scaled back from 23rd June.

So you haven't got long to make your move. Here's a recap of what's on offer.

British Airways Avios bonus

Avios can be used for flights and holidays with Avios partners like British Airways.

The British Airways American Express Credit Card is offering a bonus of 9,000 Avios when you apply by 17th June and spend £1,000 within the first three months of opening the account. That's enough for a return flight to Paris or Prague.

With the card you'll earn an ongoing rate of one Avios for every £1 you spend and you'll get a companion voucher when you spend £20,000 in a year. What's more the card is fee free.

Alternatively if you're willing to pay an annual fee of £150 there's the British Airways American Express Premium Plus. It comes with a whopping 25,000 bonus Avios when you apply by 17th June and spend £3,000 in your first three months. That's enough for a return flight to Cairo, Bodrum, Marrakech or Dubrovnik.

The card pays an ongoing rate of 1.5 Avios for every £1 you spend and you'll get a companion voucher when you spend £10,000 in a year.

Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Miles bonus

Flying Club Miles can be used for cabin upgrades, flights and holidays with Virgin Atlantic.

The fee-free Virgin Atlantic White Credit Card offers 10,000 bonus Flying Club Miles when you apply by 23rd June and spend £1,000 within 90 days of opening the account.

Your very first purchase will earn you a bonus of 3,000 miles and there will be the opportunity to earn a further 7,000 bonus miles when you spend a total of £1,000 within 90 days of signing up.

The account comes with a Visa and American Express card to rack up points with. You'll earn an ongoing rate of one Flying Club Mile for every £1 you spend on the Amex and for every £2 spent on the Visa. Plus you'll get an upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy when you spend £10,000 in a year.

Alternatively if you don't mind paying a £140 annual fee there's the Virgin Atlantic Black Credit Card which comes with a whopping 32,000 bonus Flying Club Miles when you apply by 23rd June and spend £3,000 within 90 days. That's nearly enough for a return trip to New York.

Your very first purchase will earn you a bonus of 18,500 miles and there will be the opportunity to earn a further 13,500 bonus miles when you spend a total of £1,000 within 90 days of opening the account.

Again you will get two cards to build up Flying Club Miles with, an Amex and a Visa. You'll earn an ongoing rate of two miles for every £1 you spend on the Amex and one for every £1 spent on the Visa. Furthermore you'll get an upgrade from Economy to Premium Economy when you spend £5,000 in a year and when you spend £7,500 in one year you'll get a companion reward flight.
