The best of the mid-season sales

It may not seem like it, but we are officially in the middle of the spring/summer season, because the shops have launched their mid-season sales. These are always some of the best sales of the year - because stores are clearing out early spring stock to make way for their warmest summer clothes. But while the stores are convinced it's getting warmer, in the real world it's still hoodie and jacket weather.

We have tracked down ten of the best mid-season sales around at the moment.

1. Debenhams
Designers at Debenhams are currently having a 20% sale, which sees some big savings on great names. Bargains include a Principles by Ben de Lisi designer turquoise fish scale shift dress cut from £75 to £60; and a No. 1 Jenny Packham designer dark green jersey maxi evening dress cut from £130 to £104. There's also £10 off fragrances

2. Monsoon
Monsoon is currently offering 50% off a number of items in its sale - including a Florence Embroidered Top cut from £49 to £24.50, and an Ursula Cable Midi Dress cut from £69 to £34.50.

3. New Look
The mid-season sale is offering up to 60% off a wide range of items. You can snap up dresses and tops from £5, and shoes from as little as £10.

4. Fat Face
Fat Face is offering some big reductions, including a Beatrice Puffer Jacket reduced from £88 to £35 and a Newbury Batik Star Popover reduced from £30 to £10. If you spend over £60 you can also get the items delivered for free to your nearest store.

5. Joules
The Joules mid-season sale has been on for a little while - so prices have been reduced even further. Bargains include a Denholm Mens Premium Quilted coat cut from £140 to £70 and a Bronte women's single breasted tweed blazer reduced from £149 to £79.

6. Dorothy Perkins
Dorothy Perkins has a winning combination at the moment. There are final clearance discounts like a kimono dress reduced from £30 to £10 and a jumpsuit from £25 to £8.50. In addition, for fashion week, there's 25% off all new season items too.

7. White Stuff
Reductions at White Stuff vary from a few pounds off to more substantial savings. Big price drops include a Cats About Town Mac reduced from £89.95 to £42, and a Pixie Check Bootie down from £25 to £12.

8. The White Company
There are some pretty big bargains in the 'up to 50% off' sale. The best savings are on clothes - including the Pointelle Detail Dress down from £90 to £45 and the Gathered Back Shirt down from £120 to £60. The rest of the range has 30%, 20% or 10% off.

9. Phase Eight
The sale is in place across much of the range, but the discounts vary wildly, so you'll need to check you're getting a good deal. There is, for example, almost a third off the price of the Alicia Lace Dress (down to £69) but just 15% off the Terrie Trapeze Dress (down to £59).

10. ASOS
At the moment ASOS is offering 20% off dresses and 20% off casual wear for men. So you can snap up an ASOS Scuba Crop Top Quilted Print Dress, reduced from £40 to £32, or a Reclaimed Vintage Oversized Fisherman Jumper down from £50 to £40.
