Tom Cruise selling Colorado home for $59 million

Tom Cruise has put his incredible 298-acre estate in Telluride, Colorado, on the market for $59 million. At the heart of the enormous estate is a stone and cedar four-bedroom lodge that Cruise helped to design. There's also a guest house, sports facilities, and hiking and riding trails on the compound.

The sale has been revealed by toptenrealestatedeals.com, which said that Cruise's hectic work schedule means he doesn't have enough time to make the most of the property any more.

It has been his holiday home since it was built in 1994, and it's pretty impressively appointed for somewhere he only spends a few weeks a year. The four-bedroom house comes complete with a gym and a library, and between the two houses there's a total of seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

For the sporty holidaymaker there are tennis, basketball and ice hockey facilities in the grounds, plus trails running throughout the 298 acres. If that isn't enough to satisfy your quest for fresh air, there's a private gate into the Uncompahgre National Forest. Then, of course, there's the enormous ski resort around the corner - the one where Cruise and Nicole Kidman were married in 1990.

For Cruise fans, there's also the brush with celebrity. He holidayed here with both Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes. Holmes and Cruise holed up here after the birth of their daughter Suri, and it was the setting for her first Vanity Fair photo shoot in 2006.
