We're all firmly back to work and school now, so we have some scholarly freebies this week - including free dictionaries and driver training for young adults. And for those who want a bit of escapism from the return to reality, we have free breakfast, beer and eyeliner - so even when you're stuck at your desk you can be looking your best.

Free dictionary
This is another O2 Priority Moments deal, so if you are on O2, you can download the app, search for WHSmith, and you should be able to see the offer. Once you redeem it you'll get a code to take into your local WHSmith to get your dictionary. The deal officially runs until 12 September, or until they run out, so it's worth going sooner rather than later in case they fly off the shelves.

If you're not on O2, the fact that so many freebies are on offer mean it's well worth considering getting a pay-as-you go SIM, so that you can insert it into your smartphone (as long as it has been unlocked) and download the app. You'll need to put the SIM back in each time you want to check for deals, but it's not too arduous for a decent freebie.

Free driver training
The users of HotUKDeals have spotted that Ford is offering free driver training courses for drivers aged between 17 and 24. The course is partly in the classroom and partly behind the wheel and takes place over half a day. Drivers will learn vehicle handling tips, speed management, and hazard recognition (including drunk driving). The first courses are in Glasgow from 18-20 September, and you can check out when they are coming to your area on the website. If there's no course near you, you can register your interest and if enough people do so locally they will hold some courses.

Free breakfast
This deal is ongoing, but is generous enough to mention again. At the Beefeater Grills located next to Premier Inns, you can get two free children's breakfasts for every adult breakfast purchased - on any day of the week, until 10.30am. Not only is this a handy option for those staying next door, but if you live nearby, you can let one parent have a much-needed lie in, while the rest of you pop out for pancakes or a fry up without the effort.

Free beer
Cask Ale Week starts on 25 September, with a free beer for everyone at Punch Taverns while stocks last. You need to register for yours, but as the users of HotUKDeals.com point out, there are only a limited number of free pints available in each pub, so it's worth getting organised in advance. Log onto the site, input your details, and enter the code CAM123 when prompted. At the beginning of Cask Ale Week they will email you a voucher.

Free Benefit mini eye liner
Boots is promoting a deal on its Facebook page, where you can take in a manky old eyeliner from the bottom of your bag and swap it for a free sample of Benefit Push-Up liner. It's not as generous as some new-for-old deals, because you're only getting a sample size, but if any of your old eyeliners have reached the end of the road, it's worth trying. The deal runs until 13 September, at any Boots store that has a Benefit counter - but there are only 18,000 available, so it's worth going sooner rather than later if you want to take advantage.
