Freebie Friday has a summery feel this week, with freebies to celebrate Wimbledon and the release of the big summer kids' film - How to Train Your Dragon 2. There are also a couple of drinks to keep you hydrated, and a great way to keep the kids entertained during the long summer holidays for free.
It's enough to give anyone a sunny disposition.
Free iced drinks
If you have a free pay-as-you-go O2 SIM, you can take advantage of the latest deal to hit the Priority Moments App. Until 18th July, you can get your hands on a free iced drink from Cafe Nero, so you can take your pick of anything from a strawberry and vanilla frappe creme to a mango and passion fruit booster or a mint frappe milkshake .
Free cookery classes
If you're looking for a way to entertain the kids this summer, how about some free cookery classes? Tesco is running these in a number of stores for children aged between 5 and 13. They are tailored to the child's age, but will teach them a number of recipes in a two hour session over three consecutive days. Tesco will provide the ingredients, and give them an apron to take home with them. You'll need to book
in advance, and be quick, because these will go fast.
Free 3D glasses
Technically when you go to the cinema you'll sometimes get your 3D glasses for free. However, if you wear normal glasses, then putting them on top can be awkward and uncomfortable. The users of HotUKdeals.com
have spotted that to celebrate the release of How To Train Your Dragon 2, Tesco Opticians is giving away free branded glasses which are designed to fit over normal glasses. They come in children's and adult sizes, and you can use them with passive 3D TVs too.
Free strawberries and cream
To celebrate Wimbledon season, Topcashback.co.uk is offering free strawberries and cream to new members - until midnight on Sunday. To qualify you'll need to sign up and find the 'strawberries and cream deal' on the 'snap and save
' section of the site. Then you simply buy strawberries and cream at one of the eight supermarkets taking part (Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Asda, the Co-operative, Waitrose, M&S food and Iceland), snap or scan a picture of the receipt, and submit it to the site through the mobile app (making sure you can clearly see the retailer, date, time, and the items). Your money will be refunded (up to £3.50) within a month, and that point you can transfer it straight into your bank account.
Free Tom Collins or beer
It's the beginning of the month, which can mean only one thing - a new freebie for those who have signed up for the Pitcher & Piano newsletter. If you haven't done this yet, you can join here
. You'll get a code, which you can take into the pub on your phone to get your freebie. This month you can get a free Bombay Sapphire Tom Collins cocktail or a pint of Kruŝovice Imperial beer. You can also get a free glass of wine when you buy anything from the 'Food We Love At The Moment' section of the menu using the code 5373-7467-5270. If you'd rather stick to soft drinks you can show your code and swap for a soft drink instead.
