The Royal Family's annual financial report revealed an unusual change to the apartment in Kensington Palace where Prince William, Kate and George stay in London. The apartment was completely overhauled at an astonishing cost of £4 million, so the Cambridge family have a four-storey crash pad whenever they are in town. Part of the refurbishments, the report showed, were a £17,000 overhaul of the 350 square foot kitchens. However, the family made the unusual choice of adding a second kitchen - a more modest family kitchen where they can prepare their own food.

A two-kitchen home seems a little bizarre, but it's a drop in the ocean compared to the unusual things you find at Buckingham Palace.%VIRTUAL-SkimlinksPromo%
