It's an indulgent Freebie Friday this week. Free ice cream

This Tuesday is Ben & Jerry's free cone day - celebrating the anniversary of the day the company was founded. There are no catches. You just go along to your nearest participating Ben & Jerry's shop (most of which are inside cinemas) and you'll get a free ice cream in any flavour. It's worth checking the website to see the times that your local shop is offering the cones - and get there early to avoid the queues and to ensure they don't run out of the freebies before you get there!

Free foundation

The users of have discovered that Maybelline is offering a fortnight's trial of foundation. You just need to go to the better skin diagnostic website, answer some questions in order to determine your skin type, and you'll be sent your trial-sized foundation.

Free fortnight at the gym

David Lloyd is offering free family membership at its gyms - for a fortnight. All you have to do is complete your details here, and you'll receive your fortnight pass. Two adults and their children can use all the facilities - just in time for the Easter Holidays - so you can keep the kids entertained for nothing.

Free city-centre pit-stop

The users of have been discussing the fact that Virgin Money customers get free access to lounges in branches in London, Edinburgh, Manchester and Norwich. You need to register in advance, but once you're registered, you and a friend can use it as a free pit-stop when you're shopping - with free wifi, tea, coffee, fruit and biscuits (and a welcome sit-down). There are also ipads you can use for free, and a kids' corner - so you can bring the kids.
