Debenhams jumpers recalled

Cardigans and jumpers for young boys have been recalled by a major store because of fears that the toggles could be a choking hazard.

Debenhams said that toggles on its J by Jasper Conran cable knit cardigans and jumpers for boys "have fallen below our rigorous quality standards and may become detached".

A spokeswoman said: "This could cause a potential choking hazard."

She added: "Debenhams is recalling these products as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of its customers."

The recall involves cable knit cardigans and jumpers for various ages ranging from 12 months to six years old.

The products have been available at Debenhams stores in the UK and Ireland, and online at Debenhams.com and Debenhams.ie, between June 16 and December 6 and were available in both grey and cream.

Customers were asked to stop using them immediately and return them to any Debenhams store for a full refund.
