The News Corporation CEO is advertising his 184-foot yacht, named Rosehearty, for a price believed to be a touch under $30 million.
According to the listing on Camper & Nicholsons International, the yacht is ideal for both private and charter use and has been impeccably maintained. It has six cabins and an interior designed by Christian Liaigre.
"Throughout her living areas, a neutral colour palette is used again pale oak woods and Hermes leather furnishings to create a truly luxurious feel," reads the listing.
"The aft deck offers ample space for sun lounging with three steamer-style loungers whilst the large upper deck and flybridge feature sunpads, that extend the full width of the aft section with a large Jacuzzi in front."
Back in 2009, Murdoch put Rosehearty up for rent for £181,000 per week, and it's believed that he has been using it a lot less himself in the last few years.
It's been a tricky year or two for Murdoch, thanks to the phone-hacking scandal and his pending divorce from his third wife, Wendi Deng - although there should be a limit to what this costs him, thanks to a prenuptial agreement. However, he does still have cause to count the pennies, after taking a $1.1 million pay cut this year, bringing his earnings down to $28.9 million.
Yesterday, in its first major move since the split, the new News Corp announced the sale of 23 small US newspapers which it said were "not strategically consistent with the emerging portfolio of the new News."
