It's official, using freebies and vouchers isn't just a great way to cut costs, it'll make you popular with the opposite sex. A survey by offeroftheday.co.uk has revealed that a third of women would be impressed by a man using a 'discount voucher' on a first date. 39% cited the fact that it would show 'financial good sense' and 31% said that they would be impressed by the potential partner's 'confidence to do so.'
So what are we waiting for?
Free summer holiday readingIf you're struggling to find ways for the kids to pass the time during the school holidays, you could start with some free, educational reading. Users of hotukdeals.com have found a freebie from Oxford Owl, which are great for kids who are just getting to grips with reading. The free books are the ones marked with an E.
Free chocolatesIf you have an O2 contract or phone, there's a great deal on O2 priority Moments, for a free Strawberry Puddle chocolates selection from Hotel Chocolat - worth £3. The chocolates will be available until 4th August, or until stocks run out.
This isn't the first deal from O2 Priority Moments that we have listed, so if you're not on O2 you might want to consider whether it's worth getting a free PAYGO O2 sim in order to qualify. You'll need to top it up with £10 and use it every three months to keep it activated, but it may well still save you money.
Free Nip and Fab skincareIt's not entirely free, because you'll have to buy this month's issue of Cosmopolitan for £3.60, but on the cover you can choose from Bust Fix - worth over £7, Dry Leg Fix - worth £4.50, or Body Glow Fix - worth £2.50. Clearly only two of these constitute a saving, so it's worth choosing carefully.
Cashback on cheap hotel roomsIf you're planning a trip this summer, whether it's a staycation or overseas, then it might be a good idea to have a look on laterooms.com. They offer some really strong reductions of up to 50% off hotel rate cards as your departure date approaches.
If you buy it through topcashback.co.uk you'll also get 9.09% cashback (or 9.45% if you pay for 'plus' membership). You'll need to book by 21 July, but overall that's an impressive saving
