Freebie Friday: this week's discounts, deals and freebies

Freebie Friday

It may be the hottest weekend of the year, but if you can drag yourself out of the garden, there are some hot freebies and deals to be had.

There are free ebooks, bottles of perfume and teabags, bargains on sheds and wallpaper, and a tasty restaurant deal.

Free ebooks

Users of have unearthed some free Dr Who books for kids from the BBC. There are a number of free stories, including Attack of the Snowmen, The Advent of Fear and The Doctor on My Shoulder, which should provide summer reading for fans of all ages.

Free perfume

O2's priority moments offering has yielded some decent deals, and this one is no exception. If you're an O2 customer, you can get £10 off at The Fragrance Shop until 23 July. You just need to download the app, and show your smartphone at the counter.

The best thing about this deal is that there's no minimum spend, and plenty of bottles of perfume for less than £10 in the sale - so you can bag yourself a freebie. These include Mark Wright's Mrs Wright perfume, and The Only Way is Essex Love Addict gift set - but there are also a number of options that don't hail from a reality TV show.

Free tea

Users of have tracked down a great little PG tips freebie. You just sign up to the cuppa club on Facebook, and if you are one of the first 150 to do so that day, you'll get the free tea sent to you. The page will tell you if there are any left before you fill anything in, and they go very quickly, so it's worth bookmarking the page and setting your alarm clock.

Bargain sheds

As we all spend more time in the garden, if your shed is starting to look elderly and less structurally sound, then it may inspire you to buy a new one. According to, Argos is currently offering 15% off all sheds when you enter the code SHED15 at the checkout. It's valid until 26th July, and you can get yourself anything from a £1,000 shed with a built in conservatory and room for a party, to a bog standard £100 box you can just-about squeeze your tools into.

Cut-price wallpaper

When the sun comes out we suddenly realise how drab our decor is looking. You can do something about it, at a slightly lower cost, with 20% off wallpaper at B&Q this weekend. According to, you just enter Wall80 at the checkout for the discount. Whether you want to make a statement with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen velvet flock or silver effects - or go for an understated Kelly Hoppen pattern - you can save a good chunk of cash.

25% off Italian food

If you fancy escaping the kitchen for people-watching at a pavement cafe, you can do so for less if you eat at ASK. From Sunday-Friday for the whole of July you can get 25% off all food, when you sign up for the deal on the website.
