Energy firms miss emissions targets

Six gas and electricity companies are being investigated by the energy watchdog for missing government targets to slash emissions and help households cut their bills.

Ofgem said that while firms across the sector had met 99% of energy efficiency goals by the year-end deadline, it would be looking into those that failed one or more targets.%VIRTUAL-SkimlinksPromo%
