Smaller firms 'expect sales growth'

KeyboardTwo thirds of smaller firms who trade online and export goods overseas are confident of growing sales this year, according to a new study.

A survey of over 330 companies by the Royal Mail found that the United States and Europe were top growth targets, followed by Canada, Asia and Russia.

Nick Landon, Managing Director of Royal Mail Parcels, said: "Royal Mail's study shows UK online retailers will be actively seeking new international markets in 2013 to help them achieve their growth plans."
