Osborne: right decision for UK

Chancellor George Osborne has welcomed the resignation of Barclays chief executive Bob Diamond, saying it was the "right decision" for the bank and for the country.

Mr Osborne said the had been informed of the decision Monday night by the bank's chairman, Marcus Agius.
