There is a definite North-South divide when it comes to motorists being satisfied with garage servicing, it has been revealed.
As many as 29% of complaints to a special motor industry garage advice line last year were from motorists in south east England.
But only 12% were from north west England and just 2% from north east England, said the self-regulatory automotive industry body Motor Codes.
These calls related to cases where Motor Codes had to formally intervene. But overall, just 7% of the calls last year needed formal intervention.
