Pick of the early market news
Both RBS and Lloyds will report later this week, though it's a quieter day for results today. The FTSE 100 pushed through the 5,900 barrier at the end of Friday to finish 0.33% higher at 5,905 points with CRH and Vedanta Resources being large gainers.
With Greece on the cusp of a €130bn debt deal, the German Dax and French Cac 40 were also big gainers (1.42% and 1.37%).
