Shopping tax buster app launched

The TaxPayers' Alliance (TPA) has launched a tax transparency campaign, accompanied by an app which aims to calculate the "true cost of everyday purchases".

The tax buster app calculates how much money went on VAT and duties, as well as telling shoppers how much they needed to earn before taxes to make the money to buy the product.
