However - it can be a bit of a mission hunting down the best deal. You narrow the options down as far as you can - but you still seem to end up with thousands of similar items to choose from. That's why I was keen to try out the new tool that could help you pinpoint your perfect product quickly and easily...
Deal-finding website Brag It Up has come up with a new widget that allows you to search Amzaon by the percentage an item is reduced from the original recommended retail price (RRP). This is something you can't actually do on Amazon itself - and it should make it much easier to find the bargain you're after.
How it works
You can find the Amazon Discount Finder tool on the left of the Brag It Up homepage, just below the fold.
First, you choose an Amazon department and sub-category as normal. You can then adjust the % discount you're after - so for example, you could choose to search for all baby clothing that is discounted from the RRP by at least 40%. There's even a button that lets you filter the results to show free deliveries only.
However, having played around with the widget myself, I think it is a quick, useful way to find some of Amazon's best deals.
It's still worth going through a few pages of items, rather than pouncing on the first one you see. But it means that hopefully, you'll now lose minutes - rather than hours - of your life searching for that ultimate Amazon bargain...
