Puppies and other baby animals are naturally curious about their surroundings and can end up in situations they didn't plan to get themselves into. That's what happened to this puppy in Culiacan, Mexico on April 23rd, and fortunately for the pup, a guardian angel was nearby to rescue it.

ABC News shared a clip of the rescue on Sunday, May 5th. The puppy somehow managed to get itself wedged between two walls, so much so that hit couldn't get itself free. The man who found the puppy literally had to use a hammer and chisel to break away portions of one of the walls so he could get the puppy out. Watch to see the puppy's reaction to finally being free.

What an incredible save! The puppy was so patient and still - it knew the man was trying to help save it! ABC News commenters all thanked the man for rescuing the stuck pup. @Rashel said, "Awe poor little guy! So happy this wonderful person helped him!" and @Wifey K added, "Thank you for saving this baby!" @PKgal51 laughed, "Just like human little boys…always getting into mischief and trouble! Thanks for helping! Puppy is so cute!"

More About the Puppy's Rescue

I wanted to learn more about the puppy and his hero rescuer. Storyful had more about the story and the man that rescued the pup. The young man who rescued the puppy is named Jesus Alejandro Sepulveda Garcia and he was working in a factory when he heard a puppy crying.

With patience and some elbow grease he set off to help the puppy. He lf safely returned the puppy to its mama, "after a bit of affectionate scolding."

What's really cool about this story is that Garcia wanted to help find homes for the stray dog and her babies. He ended up posting footage of the puppy and its siblings to his TikTok, hoping to find families interested in adopting them. He's a hero and a Good Samaritan!

What To Do If You Find a Stray Dog

Stray dogs are a problem around the globe, and not every encounter with one will be a positive one. Many of these dogs are feral and untrusting of humans, while others are scared and looking for help. Earning a stray dog's trust takes time and patience, and as with most dogs it can be gained with food and dog treats.

Rescued dogs often come with health concerns, separation anxiety, being skittish, and fearful of everything around them. But strays and rescued dogs often make the best pets...it's almost as if they know how lucky they are and are more appreciative of finding a family!

If you ever find a stray, the best thing to do is to try to gain their trust and take them to a local animal shelter. Adopt a Pet recommends, "you should do research on which organization you would like to turn the pet over to. You should aim for a local rescue, because they are no-kill organizations that will try to find the dog the best possible home. If you don’t have any rescues near you, you can look into local shelters, but prioritize the no-kill shelters." If you cannot catch the dog, call one of these organizations to come out to get the dog. If the dog is microchipped, its family can be found, and that's really the best possible outcome for the scared pooch.
