'Love Is Blind' fan favorite Jess Vestal has a new love in her life and it's way cuter than Jimmy Presnell - the dude who rejected her in the pods on the popular Netflix reality dating series.

This new love may be pretty hairy and on occasion kinda smelly, but it's probably a lot less heartache than any dude she could have hooked up with from the show. The gorgeous single mom from Charlotte, North Carolina revealed on her socials that she recently got her very first puppy!

Awww, the new addition is a mini-Dachshund that Vestal named Summer. In the above video you can see Jess loading up on supplies for her new little family member before she surprises her daughter Autumn at school to have her go with to pick up the new puppy. Autumn had no idea that the plan was to go and pick up the puppy that day, and Jess joked that her poor daughter thought she was being picked up early due to a death in the family.

In this previous video you can see Jess and Autumn explaining that they have never had a dog before, because they consider themselves to be more "cat people." Then you get to see them going to meet the litter that Summer comes from.

Here's another sweet video of Jess playing and cuddling with the little pup that she says she is obsessed with.

We certainly can't blame her, that is one cute puppy!

How To Introduce Your Puppy To a Cat

Jess has Bengal cats and she posted a video of her cats checking out the new puppy.

There are ways you can make introducing your cats to a new member of the family like a puppy go a lot smoother.

First you need to make sure your all of your pets are free of fleas and ticks and have their first vaccinations.

You want to remember to go slowly, and it's helpful to get them used to each other's scents before meeting in person. Give your puppy a cloth or blanket with your cat's scent on it, and vice versa.

Keep your puppy on a leash when first meeting a cat and go slow. Get them used to seeing each other and don't force it. Make sure the cat has a safe space to retreat to if they are overwhelmed. Puppies can be wild and rambunctious!

Keep the first visits short and sweet at first, and give both pets lots of praise and affection when they are in each other's company so they start to associate being close to each other as a very happy experience.

If your puppy shows any aggression towards the cat, or if they are too hyper and trying to jump on your cat,, remove the cat immediately. You can try again at a later date, still keeping the puppy leashed and close to you.

Here's hoping we get to see a video of Summer cuddling those Bengal cats at some point!
