Lorraine Kelly has been confirmed to cameo on Coronation Street.

The TV presenter will appear on the ITV soap as herself in scenes set to air next week.

Lorraine, 59, turns up in Corrie as a guest at the same holiday camp as the Platt family. Grandma Audrey Roberts has splashed out on the break for the family after yet another stressful year and when Gail (Helen Worth) spots her favourite TV star she embarks on a mission to meet her.

Earlier this year Lorraine won a tax case worth over £1.2 million when a judge ruled she was a “self-employed star” and not an employee of ITV. During the ruling the judge declared that there are two Lorraine Kelly’s - the public persona she presents on TV and the real person she is when not on camera.
