St. Peter's Castle on a small peninsula leading off from the mainland is a historic castle which houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, where you'll find the remains of the oldest-known sunken ship in the world.
The Yalikavak Bazaar is popular with tourists and locals alike with a number of stalls all selling a wide range of products. The stalls boast leather goods, fresh produce, jewellery and much more.
- The coastal village of Gümüşlük is one of the oldest areas on the peninsula and it sits on the site of the ancient city of Myndos. Spend a night admiring the view of fishing boats and yachts from a waterside restaurant while enjoying one of the region's famous fish dishes.
- The ancient amphitheater in Bodrum was fully completed during the Roman era although it is thought to have been started in the 4th century BC. It is a perfect example of a classical Greek theatre and it boasts incredible views of the Turkish coastline.

- Get involved with the history of Bodrum by visiting the ancient ruins of Pedasa, the capital city of Lelegs. It was the original site of settlement on the Bodrum peninsula and has recently been re-opened to the public with stunning views of the peninsula on offer as well.
- Have a stroll around Yalivak and admire the stunning yachts that can be found in the waters off the coast of the town. The picturesque town can be found on the north western side of Bodrum and boasts beautiful, white sand beaches and a host of great fish restaurants.
- Bodrum boasts a number of stunning beaches and Gumbet is no exception. This kilometre-long stretch of golden sand boasts calm and shallow waters perfect for swimming and water sports for visitors of all ages.
- The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus is thought to have been built between 353 and 350 BC but unfortunately the striking structure was brought to the ground by a succession of earthquakes in the 12th and 15th centuries. A small museum and the foundations of the original building can be found at the site now.
