Favignana, an island close to Sicily, boasts has several small beaches, many of which are incredibly popular despite being difficult to access. One of the most sought-after bathing spots is Cala Rossa, a pretty bay with turquoise sea. Visitors turn up on bikes or in boats to sun themselves on rocks or wade out from tiny sandy beach. It's quite a scramble to get down the rocks onto the beach, but determined holiday-makers don't let this deter them.
