  • Based in Cilgerran, two miles south of Cardigan in the wilds of West Wales, Fforest is open from Easter to early October. Choose from traditional Dutch tents, 19th century military style tents, or 20' diameter geodesic domes in 200 rolling acres of woodland. Alternatively the Croglofts, with stone walls for those who don't do canvas, are open all year round.

  • Lochhouses Farm in East Lothian boasts six safari tents that sleep between six and eight people, and a deluxe honeymoon tent. Each tent has its own bathroom with hot shower, kitchen with wood-burning stove, and living area with covered veranda.
