A flight attendant pulled the ultimate prank on her passengers when she hid in an overhead locker to scare them. The stewardess' gag was caught on camera by traveller Holly McNamara on a Southwest Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. - In a hilarious landing announcement, cabin crew member Zach Haumesser impersonated around a dozen Looney Tunes characters to entertain passengers. As the Southwest Airlines plane touched down in Chicago, he launched his uncanny Elmer Fudd, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck impressions, asking guests to be "vewy, vewy quiet" and remain clear of the "doorth" for their "thafety" in the fabulous mash-up. - In 2013, Sir Richard Branson shaved his legs, put on make-up and dressed in stewardess clothing after losing a bet with AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes over which of their 2010 Formula One teams would beat the other at the Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi. The billionaire performed all the regular duties of a flight attendant, including cleaning the toilets, on the charity flight from London to Kuala Lumpur. Lucky for Branson, Fernandes allowed him to keep his signature beard.
- Flight attendant Assraf Nasir's performance of Britney Spears' 'Toxic' on an empty Airbus A330 was every inch as fabulous as it sounds. A video, which went viral, showed Nasir singing into the intercom before strutting, shimmying and shaking down the aisle. His boss, Tony Fernandes of AirAsia, even reposted the brilliant video. A Southwest Airlines flight attendant had plane passengers in fits of giggles with an inflight safety demonstration that could have been a comedy act. A video, which viral, showed Marty Cobb saying she's had a "long day" before launching into her joke-infused demo. She says: "Position your seatbelts hard and low across your hips like my grandmother wears her support bra." Cobb adds: "No smoking, no whining, no complaining. No smoking in the lavatory - the fine is $2,000 and if you wanted to pay that for your air fare you should have flown with somebody else!" Steven Slater became an online celebrity when he quit his job as a flight attendant in the most memorable way imaginable. The JetBlue steward launched an expletive-ridden rant over the plane's public address system after a row with a passenger involving overhead baggage as the aircraft landed at New York's JFK. He then grabbed his bags and two cans of beer before popping the lever for the emergency chute and sliding down to the tarmac. Slate picked up his car and raced home, but police soon arrested him and he was charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespass. That didn't stop him becoming a national hero and a string of Facebook pages being set up by people admiring his grand exit.
- We really have no idea why this flight attendant would suddenly break into a dance routine accompanied by the Bruno Mars track 'Uptown Funk,' but we're really glad she did. The terrific video was taken by passenger Simian King on a WestJet flight from Quebec, Canada. Air steward David Holmes became a YouTube hit when he was filmed rapping the safety demonstration to passengers on a Southwest Airlines flight. He was captured asking travellers to "stomp and clap" as he rapped the instructions over the public address system. He rapped: "Shortly after take-off, first things first/there's soft drinks and coffee to quench your first. Carry-on items go under the seat/in front of you so none of you have things by your feet." - Passengers on a one-hour easyJet flight from London to Belfast were treated to an unusual fight between two flight attendants over the packing of water bottles. The incident was live-tweeted by TV presenter Dan Lobb, who described the situation as "unbelievable".
