Ants team up and defeat wasp

Wildlife photographer Ewan Wilson captured a wasp being pinned down and attacked by ants in Cardiff.

As the video above shows, the tiny ants are completely dwarfed by the wasp but the size difference does not seem to deter them.

They bite at the wasp's legs and drag him into a gap in the floor, before disappearing as they fall in between the cracks.

The tiny battle was surprisingly brutal and horrified the photographer, as he was left silently filming the scene.

The footage was filmed on June 8, 2020.
