Girl gets caught in a bizarre 'mini twister' tornado

Story and video from SWNS

This bizarre video shows the moment a seven-year-old girl playing in a park with her family got caught - in the middle of a "mini twister" tornado.

Little Bella Cawley was out for her daily exercise with mum Kimberley, 36, and big sister Ellie, ten, when the leaves and recently-cut grass started whipping up around her in a wind tunnel.

Bella was visibly frightened as she got caught in the middle of the twister in Castle Batch Park in Worle, North Somerset. But it quickly moved past her, and stopped a few moments later.

Kimberley said: "It was really strange - especially as it was a really hot day, and there wasn't even any breeze around.

"It only lasted a couple of minutes, collecting all the cut grass and leaves and blowing them around.

"Bella was absolutely fine afterwards - I think the leaves were getting in her eyes a bit, but as soon as it was over she got straight back on her bike."

And Kimberley joked: "I think her sister was a bit gutted she didn't get to experience it - as it had blown away by the time it reached where she was standing."
