Disgusting moment man wipes saliva inside train station lift during coronavirus outbreak

This is a disgusting moment a man ignored coronavirus fears, licking his fingers and scratching his genitals before wiping his hands around a lift.

CCTV footage shows a shaven head man taking a BTS sky train lift in Bangkok, central Thailand. He was spotted glimpsing at the CCTV before the doors opened, walking out then returning into the elevator.

He then licked his finger and applied the saliva onto several buttons. He also scratched his genitals and wiped his fingers around the lift and licked his hand again before pressing more buttons.

The bizarre behaviour came a time when millions of people in the country are being told to use hand sanitiser and stand at least 1.5 metres away from people to stop the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, which originated in Wuhan, China.

A BTS spokesman said they immediately began hunting the man after they noticed the incident. They also disinfected the lift.

They said: "Out staff began following him as soon as he walked out of the lift but when he saw them, he ran away.

"We also sent the team of cleaners to disinfectant the lift. It is disinfected in every one hour.''

Later in the evening the police arrested a 32-year-old Thai man and sent him to the hospital for the coronavirus test after he admitted being the person in the video. Police Colonel Patikorn Sornchai said the suspect was found wandering around the area close to the station.

He said: "We do not know whether he was infected with a coronavirus so we had to be careful while arresting him. He was then immediately taken for checks at the hospital."
