Here's how often you should change your toothbrush

Toothbrushes, both traditional and electric, clearly don't last forever and it turns out they don't even last for as long as many people think.

Business Insider reports that, according to the American dental Association, brushes and brush heads should be replaced about every three months.

While they may still look OK, at that point the bristles will have likely weakend and may not be doing their jobs as well as they once did.

What's more, they could be teeming with germs and potentially harmful bacteria.
