Woman shocked by fox's reaction to friendly welcome

This is the moment a woman learned that it's not a great idea to stick your hand out towards a wild animal.

The woman can be heard greeting the seemingly inquisitive fox on a rainy pavement in England, saying "Hello darling! Hello darling!".

This is swiftly followed by the creature lunging at the woman and biting her index finger. This elicits a loud scream and the start of some profanity, at which point the video promptly cuts off!

Apparently, the woman was not aware of urban foxes less than friendly reputation. For example, West Sussex ambulance driver Tammy Page had the end of her finger bitten off by a fox in 2011.

On the other hand, maybe the woman had been influenced by online videos such as the one below, depicting a very friendly young fox who turned up in a Chessington pub garden.
