Royal fans can't believe how grown-up Prince Louis looks in recent photos.

This is based on new pictures of the 19-month-old arriving at the Royal Family's pre-Christmas lunch event at Buckingham Palace, driven by his mother Duchess Kate, 37.

Louis was last pictured last November at a Remembrance event with his parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The difference between now and when he was last pictured is "staggering", according to commentators on Twitter.

Comments centre around the little one's chubby cheeks and abundant hair.

Others are saying he looks just like his elder brother Prince George.

Louis' elder brother George, 6, arrived separately in the front seat of father Prince William's car, while Princess Charlotte, 4, took the back seat.

People are sharing side-by-side pictures of Louis together with ones of George, and commenting on the close resemblance between the brothers.

There are also comments on how much he looks like his mother, Duchess Kate.

Elsewhere on Twitter, social media users were comparing little Louis to the 'Boss baby' film.

The Royal Family's pre-Christmas lunch is held annually at Buckingham Palace on the Wednesday before Christmas Day.

This event is attended by all members of the Royal Family – including those who will not be present at the Sandringham estate gathering attended by senior royals over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Typically the children sit separately from the adults at this event.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Prince George and Princess Charlotte are set to attend their first Christmas Day church walk with the Royal Family. However, it is believed Louis will stay home with Duchess Kate's mother, Carole, as at 19 months he is too young to attend.
