Meerkats do 'war dance' to protect territory

Meerkats perform a form of "war dance" to scare off their enemies and protect their territory, according to a new study.

Scientists from University College London investigated interactions between different meerkat groups living in South Africa over a decade.

Their study discovered that these meetings can be vicious and sometimes result in deadly fights.
