Scientist says ghosts could be sign we're living in Matrix-like simulation

Have you seen any ghosts lately?

According to a University of North Carolina computer scientist, spotting one could be a sign that you're living in a Matrix-like simulation.

Curry Gwen made the suggestion while speaking at a film festival about digitally constructed realities.

In doing so he referenced UK philosopher Nick Bostrom and his observation that computer developers have already shown the potential for creating simulated experiences that are indistinguishable from real ones.
