The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have issued an apology after sharing an inspirational Maya Angelou quote which contained a typo.

The royal couple's Instagram account, @SussexRoyal, made a spelling mistake in a quote from the renowned American poet and civil rights activist.

The original quote should have read: "Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women."

However, the original post read: "Each time a women stands up for herself..."
