Hungry wild elephant intercepts bus to extort food from driver in east India

An astonishing video has emerged of an elephant holding up a bus in India in order to extort food from the driver.

The incident took place in the state of Assam, with the massive animal blocking the national highway for around two hours.

The footage shows the elephant using its trunk to rifle through the bus.

It soon finds a bag and empties the contents into its mouth.

But that's not the end of hunt, and it moves on to a nearby jeep to continue its search.
